What is POPDHH up to this Fall
Sep 29th and Oct 1st – TDHH Mentorship – Year Two kicked off over two days of online sessions. Day one included a presentation on assessments and report writing, co-facilitated by Sunny Hill Team; and exchange of resources on a meaningful IEP process. On the second day the group reflected on the Truth and Reconciliation Journey and participated in a IBPOC Awareness workshop presented by Deaf Inclusion Diversity Leadership BC.
Week of Oct 4th – Start of ASL Online – in addition to our well established ASL programs and Services – Games, Play, Chat and CATS – we have launched a pilot program of the highly anticipated ASL for Credit. We are also pleased to announce that the ASL Activities are back – get in touch if you are interested in hosting in your area!
Week of Oct 11th – we are starting the Fall cohort of our Online training for staff supporting DHH students, plus one day in-person workshop for staff in the Greater Victoria district.

Nov 24th – Kindergarten Transition Info Night – co-presenting with Provincial Family Services/Provincial Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services
This fall we have also been invited to present at the BC Family Hearing Resource Centre’s PEER program – a series of K readiness sessions for families of DHH preschoolers.
