Together in Practice: the Outreach Interpreter’s Hub

Next Session: February 25th, 2026

Showcase:
Spotlight Category and ASL Poetry 8-12 are full.

We are now less than a month away from the deadline of March 2nd. If your students would like to compete in DHH Art – all grades  and ASL Poetry K-7, please register them as soon as possible. The ASL Poetry and DHH Art submissions, as well as the  parental consent forms are all due by March 2nd. Since the ASL Poetry K-7 and DHH Art are pre-judged, we will not be able to extend registration or accept late submissions. Entries without parental/media consent will not be considered.

Friendship Day:
Those of you who haven’t registered yet, please download and complete the registration spreadsheet. We need students’ names and grades so that the venue can enter them for the lanes. We recommend that the TDHHs from the same district submit one form jointly. If there are changes or additions to the list of participants, please email us to advise – no need to re-submit another spreadsheet. The deadline to register for Friendship day is April 2nd or when at capacity.

Academic Communication Equity -BC – PEER Support Program

ACE-BC’s Peer Support Program is a community-oriented space, welcoming alumni and current post-secondary students to be peer guides, and high school students grades 11-12 (though grade 10 also welcome if keen). Instead of one to one mentoring which we piloted a couple years ago, this is more of a shared process, less formal and an opportunity to give/ get support from others with similar experiences.

What participants can expect:
*A total of up to 2.5 hours per month (formal and huddle sessions);

  • Monthly sessions for everyone – with presentations and activities etc. 90 minutes each.  Starting January 29th at 5:00.

  • Peer guides huddle 30 – 60 minutes once per month
  • Access to Discord for ongoing conversations online, outside of scheduled sessions – great for Q and A chats.
Weekly drop-in sessions will be available for anyone who wishes an extra conversation or support.

Click to register or open the flyer for more info.
