ASL Credit Course – Request for Feedback

Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across the province have expressed interest in taking an ASL for credit course. POPDHH is planning to roll out two online 4 credit courses, ASL Level 1 and 2.

  • ASL Level 1 (which is equivalent to the objectives in Intro to ASL 11)
  • ASL Level 2 (which is equivalent to the objectives in ASL 11)

We are collecting information from TDHHs to pilot the new ASL Level 1 course and we will prioritize registration for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students from grade 8 – 12. ASL Level 1 is for beginner learners and has no prerequisites*. Please fill out this short survey by Feb 26th, so we can tailor our course to students interested in taking ASL Level 1. Thank you for your time!

The next big Mentorship meeting will be held virtually in the last week of May.

Feb 10th – Countdown to Kindergarten – Parents and designated service providers of DHH preschoolers across the province joined Tamara online to learn about educational options and transition to Kindergarten. If you missed it and have questions, contact Tamara for details.
