April 17 Friendship Day – Field to Science World – brought to you by the generous support of Telus World of Science

  • We will have yellow bracelets for the participants. When you arrive (between 9:30 and 10:00 am) please find one of the POPDHH staff to receive the bracelets for your students and any additional adults. We will have some announcements and housekeeping at 10:00, once everyone has been accounted for.
  • While skytrain may be the best option, the Science World folks have asked us to share this with anyone arriving by a school bus:  Our parking lot can accommodate vehicles up to 18ft in length. Oversized and/or bus parking is NOT available in our lots; paid off-street parking is available at the WestPark Lot just east of Rogers Arena, approx. 1 km northwest from TELUS World of Science. The Drop-off/Pick-Up Lane is accessible from the North Parking Lot near Quebec St & National Ave and restricted to 15 min stopping only. Arrange for your bus to return only after your group is all ready for departure – exit is through the South Parking Lot near Quebec St & Central St.
  • Lunch will be provided for everyone at noon. We will gather in designated areas for pizza, refreshments and socializing with new friends. Local folks – please bring your own (refillable) water bottles.
  • While every precaution is taken to accomodate dietary restrictions, please use discretion for your students and staff who have severe food allergies.
