POPDHH Presents: #DHHproud

DHHproud – Showcase, April 11th, 2022
  • Registration is approaching the deadline of February 11th.  Please register your students who are interested in competing in one or more of the categories.
  • At the moment the Spotlight category has only standby room.
  • We are pleased to announce that this year the event will be available for live viewing. Please email us to obtain the streaming link. Families and friends/classmates of contestants, and of course TDHHs and school teams are welcome to join.

DHHproud – Friendship Day, April 12th, 2022
  • Guest Facilitator: Justin Perez – Visual Vernacular Performer. Justin’s workshops are designed for DHH students in Kindergarten to Grade 12.  Students are not required to know American Sign Language in order to participate.  This workshop is designed for everyone who wants to learn more about using the Visual Vernacular.  We encourage all students to try something new and participate in this exciting presentation. Interpreters will be provided.
  • Register by email: office@popdhh.ca. Include a list of student names and grades in the registration email, and whether they are joining from the same location (so that we know how many online spots are being used).
  • We will have two or three sessions for different age groups.
  • Students who wish to appear on video need to have DHHproud 2022 – Media Consent form signed. Hurry – only 20 spots per session.
