Deaf and Hard of Hearing Accessibility Guide

POPDHH is pleased to officially launch the DHH Accessibility Guide & Resource Toolkit created by the PLC Mentorship Group 2024-2026.  Schools can use these materials to foster an inclusive community for DHH learners by using the Accessibility Audit Tool, Action Plan Tool and Resource Toolkit (which complement the BC CAISE  School Site Accessibility Assessment Tool).

TDHH Mentorship – Professional Learning Community

The goal of our PLC group is to work together with key stakeholders to create materials that support best practices in educational settings across BC.  Some examples of the materials that previous cohorts have worked on are: The DHH Accessibility Guide launched above, and The Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC).  The ECC is a framework that integrates and aligns key ECC goal areas with the BC Core Curriculum and is meant to be used as a guide when creating Competency Based IEPs for DHH students in BC.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!  As the new 2026-2028 PLC Mentorship Group begins, we are seeking input from fellow TDHHs on future projects. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and share your ideas for resources or tools that would support your practice. Your feedback will help guide our work
