MS Teams as an Online Teaching Tool for DHH Students
- Wednesday, April 15 at 10:30 am – 11:00 am
- Thursday, April 16 at 1:00 – 1:30pm
Description: Are you new using MS Teams as an online teaching tool for students? Join us to learn how to have online meetings with closed captions and ASL interpreters. We will show how to share PowerPoint presentations, videos and whiteboard to teach. Prior to the meeting, please have MS Teams downloaded and test logging in.

Zoom meetings as an Online Teaching Tool for DHH Students
- Wednesday, April 15 at 1pm – 1:30 pm
- Thursday, April 16 at 10:30 am – 11:00 am
Description: Join us to trial Zoom for online meetings and learn how to provide closed captions while teaching. We will be using Microsoft Powerpoint or Microsoft Translator for captions and learn how to adjust our screens to include ASL interpreters. We will review several features of Zoom.

How to Teach Online: Calendar Concepts
- Wednesday, April 22 at 10:30 – 11:00 am
- Thursday, April 30 at 1:00 – 1:30 pm
Description: Teaching calendar concepts allows for students to develop their language, math skills and establishes a predictable routine for students during this unique time. During this workshop we will use SMART notebooks and provide you with a Calendar template to teach counting, weather, and other calendar concepts created specifically for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.

How to Teach Online: Art
- Wednesday, April 22 at 1:00 – 1:30 pm
- Thursday, April 30 at 10:30 – 11:00 am
Materials needed: printer paper, pencils, crayons, felts
Description: Learn to set up your own interactive and fun art lessons with your students to develop a stronger student-teacher relationship. Online art lessons are appropriate for students at various language levels and use engaging visuals to provide opportunities for further language development. Find art resources online and set up your equipment in a way that is most conducive to teaching any art method you select. Your presenter will be guiding participants through an art lesson as part of the demonstration so bring your art materials and follow along.
